Delivery partnership
Enterprise SEND software for UK local authorities
An AI assistant build that grew into a long-term delivery partnership on enterprise SEND software used across 70 local authorities.
Context
Invision360 is an established UK technology company working in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, with software used by 70 local authorities.
The work began as a single commissioned build: VITA, an AI assistant for their platform.
The problem
SEND casework is high-volume, statutory and unforgiving. The people doing it are under sustained pressure, and the data involved is some of the most sensitive any public body holds.
Invision360 had the domain expertise, the local-authority relationships and the roadmap. What they needed was engineering throughput - the ability to ship AI-native capability at the pace the sector was moving.
What we built
VITA, an AI assistant embedded in the Invision360 platform, delivered as a fixed-scope build.
Following that, a continuing programme of enterprise software engineering across the SEND product line.
Accessibility and security treated as foundations rather than features, given the statutory context and the vulnerability of the people the software ultimately serves.
Outcome
The commissioned build went well, and both sides chose to continue on a longer-term footing.
DIGI now operates as the AI-native build capacity behind the product line, working to Invision360 standards inside their release process.
Technical and security
UK-based engineering and UK hosting.
Special-category personal data, handled under public-sector expectations for security, retention and access control.
Accessibility engineered to WCAG 2.1 AA, as required for public-sector services.
